Aurelio's - A small shop in roseville. With decent deep dish pizza. Portions are huge. There pizza's are big enough to feed plenty of people. I know we weren't able to finish ours. Service was extremely slow though. It was a very tiny place, so it feels a bit over crowded. (I give this a C+)
Be-Bop Sports Bar & Grill - Another sports bar with a few softball fields. Is basically what this place is. They have a nice little set up, but with softball season and there co partner in crime, The venue, this place just generates money somehow. My burger was pretty average, so i can only stamp it with a so so taste. (I give this a C-)
Benihana's - The cooks always put on a great show and its entertaining to watch. I was really full after eating all my food, you get a lot of food. It was good food and qood quanity also. Never had a bad experience yet. (I give this a B-)
Biaggi's - Feels like your traditional italian restaurant. Wine list is nice. I have never ordered anything there I didn't like. Nice little location in Maple Grove. (I give this a B-)
Blue fox - Food is average, not bad for a sports bar. Location is kinda nice off of 694 in roseville. (I give this a C)
Bonanza Steakhouse I expected a nice expensive steak place, Well I got a very cheap fast food/old country buffet/Perkins type of environment. The steak was horrible. This is one of those places you want to say is below OCB. (I give this a F)
Brits Pub - I have never really been amazed by their entrees. I do like their appetizers(deviled eggs). Of course lawn bowling is the fun thing to do there. ( I give this a C)
Cafe Latte - Decent selection of food. This place is a great destination for all of you drunks who are stumbling from Billy s or the Wild Onion. Its open late at night and like a little cafeteria. It fits perfectly into the grand ave scheme. I had the nacho pizza. It was great! (I give this a B-)
Cafe Lurcat - This place was really big. I thought I was walking into the dining area, but it was just the bar. Bathrooms are a bit small. I almost slammed into someone walking in. Food was delicious. I was impressed. Wait staff was professional and decor was excellent. (I give this an A)
Cave Vin - This place is on Xerxes. Its a bit hidden. Its a small cozy place. They have only one bathroom for the whole establishment. Half price bottle of wine. Food was good, but not great. (I give this a C+)
California Pizza Kitchen - I really thought this place was gonna suck, but there pizza was excellent. There noodles were also great. Nice place to go to when the other 2 main restaraunts in Southdale are having 2 hours waits. There was only a 30 minute wait for this place. (I give this a C)
Capitol Grille - I love the atmosphere here. The food was excellent and I couldn't help how friendly our server was. Everything was great. I couldn't find anything to bitch about. (I give this a B+)
Cheese Cake Factory - Theres always a long line if you go during the busy hours. I went once and it was a 2 hour wait. It was one of the best tasting food I have ever tasted. I only got a shrimp and bacon sandwich but it tasted just perfect. I like places with the darker look, so I always give it points for that. The only negative was the waiter really pressured me to get cheesecake and it made me a little upset. (I give this a B)
Cherokee Sirloin room - I paid $25.95 for all you can eat snow crab. It was a nice friendly place over in west St Paul. Everyone else had steaks, but it was pretty good. Parking was kinda crappy, but there are some nice streets to park on. This place was worth the price. (I give this a C+)
Chino Latino - Everyone knows this place in uptown. The sequence, how can you miss it. Most uptowners love it there. Food is different, mix of asian and mex, per the name. I have never had a bad experience when I am here. Menu is hard to read sometimes, but prices are somewhat fair for the food. (I give this a B-)
Ciao Bella - Food is pretty good here. I think its more expensive then it should be for its flavor of food. For a decent spot in Bloomington I expected more from this place. The wait staff is friendly and professional. It does have a nice cozy atmosphere for a nice romantic date. (I give this a B-)
Claddagh Irish Pub - This was a nice fancy little Irish place. I had fish and chips but it was some of the best battered fish I have ever had. Claddagh, Worn on the right hand, with crown and heart facing out, the ring tells that the wearer's heart is yet to be won. Ok I learned that from someone but hey thats what it means. This place is cool place if your in Maple Grove. (I give this a C+)
Cleveland Wok - A very tiny place on cleveland towards Ford Parkway. Food is just average. I used to like this place. Since there wasn't much else to choose from. There buffets sucks even more then anything. (I give this a D+)
Cosetta's - Italian dining at a cheap rate. This is a must for anyone who hasn't eaten there. I love the pastas and the pizza. There is even an italian store inside. I always get food here when I drive by. (I give this a C+)
Dan Kelly's Bar and Grill - Food here has never tasted good to me. The quesadillas I got were pretty big. Food here has just been average for me since the days I used to work downtown. Bathroom is in some weird hall way. Not impressed. (I give this a C-)
Dolittles - Its basically a Dennys with an aviation feel to it and a bar. It was quiet when I ate there. Food was quiet ho hum. Nothing to special to say about this place. Its off of highway 10. But I don’t expect this place to last long. (I give this a D-)
El Mariachi - Located on Nicollet. Probably one of the better authentic mexican restaurants I have tried. The menu was pretty extensive and inexpensive. Decent size place for where its located. Their seafood was pretty good. I would come back if I was craving mexican. (I give this a C+)
Fogo De Chao - Lots of food. Long wait on busy nights. Very fast wait staff. Lots of food. Its expensive at $46 bucks plus 12 percent downtown tax. Worth the money. Go light on the salad bar. go heavy on the meat. (I give this a B)
Good Earth - I didn't really like this place as much. The food was not really too flavorful to me. The whole idea of this makes me sick. This is just a bad gimmick overall. (I give this place a D+)
Grand cafe - I really didn't expect much out of this place. Its more of a coffee shop. There was a guy playing his guitar in there. The food was excellent. I was surprised how good it was. The atmosphere was simple and unique. (I give this a B)
Grand City Buffet - Very clean for a buffet. Food is alright. Some how made yahoos front page. They do have wide varieties of seafood. (I give this a C+)
Hoa Bien Vietnamese restaurant - Probably the cleanest place to eat for Vietnamese places. Food is just blah. Nothing over the top. Pho is very average. (I give this a C-)
House of Wongs - Very very inexpensive food. There is a mix of different types of foods here. Asian, italian american. They got it all. Plus the food portions are very generous. Lots of different things to choose from. Only knock against it is. The food is very sub par in quality. (I give this a C-)
Johnny Rockets - Its small, but it gives you that nice 50's or 60's feel. Not sure which one it is. I was a bit disappointed in my food. Maybe my taste buds have gotten better since I ate here when I was younger. There is just better burgers now and fries. I like watching everyone run around behind the counter. (I give this a D+)
Keegans - This was a nice little pub in the old NE Minneapolis area. The waitress was a little snot, but the food was nice portions, but it sure had a European feel to it. It was an ok lunch spot. Looks like they have a lot of kilt parties at night. I've had better food. The meatloaf was pretty dry and everyone didn't seem to impressed. (I give this a C+)
La Chaya Bistro - Located in South Minneapolis on Nicollet. I thought this place had a limited menu. Its nice and small and cozy. Price was a bit expensive. Smaller portion meals, but they seem to do the job. Neat presentation. (I give this a C+)
Lindys Prime steak house - I was really disappointed with the food. You get iceberg lettuce, with one tomato. You get only thousand island dressing. Garlic bread is basically hotdog buns cut up and filled with butter. The sirloin was over priced. The sauce tries to give it some flavor. Overall I can think of a dozen other places to go to. (I give this a D+)
Longfellow grill - Place had a great atmosphere. Thee food was pretty good. I liked some of the things on the menu. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor of the food. It was good, but not out of sight good. (I give this a C+)
Maggianos - Its your typical Olive garden, with a little Buccas mixed into it. I had some type of pasta with chicken and it was excellent. I loved the atmosphere. The bread was really good. The menu selection was a little on the small side. They did have an excellent wine menu though. There are better Italian places out there, but this place aint bad. (I give this a B-)
Mai village - Been here a few times now for normal menu items and brunch or Dim sum. Dim sum is just average. Nothing spectacular. Regular menu is just blah. Not too impressed with food. Looks nice inside with a walk over bridge. (I give this a C)

Matthews - This place is located in Circle Pines area. Its a small mom and pop shop. Food is pretty good. Its that whole mom made it feel. I like it and will come back. (I give this a C)
Mermaid - They have specials for every day of the week. Wednesdays is my favorite days, I got my favorite drink special, anything with Bacardi half off. Their chicken wings were kinda gross. With bowling and a little club downstairs, it has it all. The waitress is always friendly, well maybe its cause I know Heather. So I better give this place a decent score. (I give this a D+)
Mortons - A nice place to have a expensive hot date. Food was good. Make sure to dress up for this one. Very quiet and elegant inside. Food was good. Steak was a bit char-ed on top. Thats how there steaks are though. Very expensive ala cart. Its always nice, when they show you the food before its cooked. (I give this a A-)
Nelson Cheese and Deli -The sandwiches are great. They are big and flavorful. Their pastas are just average, but it gives you a chance to mix it up. Reasonable prices. (I give this a C+)

Oceanaire - Probably one of the best restaurants I have ever ate at. The food was fresh, the atmosphere was world class and the wait staff and clean up crew was prompt. Everything was perfect. A bit pricey, but thats what you get for quality service. (I give this a A -)
Old Mexico - I normally don't like Mexican food, but this place just isn't ever good. The only thing I do here is enjoy 2 for 1 specials. Food has never been good here. The buffet happy hour wings are decent though. It is hit or miss sometimes though when it comes to there buffet. (I give this a D+)
Old Spaghetti Factory - Inexpensive and decent size portions. Bread is nothing to rave about. Its still there though. I like the classic look. One of my favorite places to go for a cheap dinner outing. (I give this a B-)
Pad Thai - Its right on Grand ave near snelling ave. I like the setting inside. Except when you stare at the ceiling. You see how ugly it was. Maybe they should paint it black. The food was good. I wish the wait staff wouldn't be so pushy on dessert. There are many good flavors of food though. (I give this a C+)
PF Changs - It was a dark setting with above average Chinese food. I would say its better then Big bowl and Lee Ann chins. Not better then authentic places though. Just another typical Americanized Chinese place. (I give this a C-)
Pho 79 - Probably the best pho you can eat at a restaurant. Big portions, which they normally are. The broth was perfect. I can taste if the broth is old or what not. Small place. There is a couple locations. Quite satisfying. Would definitely come back. (I give this a B-)
Pho Ca Dao - This place has the best pho in this area. Well closest to homemade you can get. They only have pho on their menu. Its a hole in the wall place, but they all are. A lot of meat and noodles. Decent sizes to choose from. Pretty cheap. (I give this a B-)

Rossi's steak and Blue star - I like the feel of this place. The food is pretty good. Could be better. The atmosphere is different and a nice change up. The whole blues thing makes it a very nice experience. (I give this a C+)
Saigon Restaurant and Bakery - Food is pretty bad. This is the dirtiest place I have ever stepped into. I am sure they will fail an inspection. They got good Vietnamese sandwiches though. (I give this a C-)
Saji-Ya - This place is located on Grand and is basically compared to Benihana's and Ichibans. Although the cooks don't have all the classy moves as the big 2. This restaurants lacks the same quality and entertainment. Cooks putting on a false show by banging there utensils, instead of flipping them is disappointing. (I give this a C)
Senor Wongs - Kind of a copy of Chino Latinos. Smaller and is a bit of a watered down version. Its cheaper, but the food is pretty good. Not bad for being in down town St. Paul. (I give this a C+)
Shish Mediterranean Grill and Cafe - This is not a romantic date place but it's very cozy and the food is excellent. I have been to at least 3 middle eastern restaurants in the cities and this is by far the best I have ever eaten. There was flavors exploding from my mouth. Its not the prettiest looking place. The staff was friendly though. Made me want to comeback and feel welcomed. It was kinda like a Dino's gyro's but better on all levels. (I give this a B-)
Shuang Cheng - This place is located near the U of M campus. I consider this the best chinese place to eat in MN in my opinion, bar none. Their fried rice is simply world class. Its a little small place but its the best taking authentic food I have tasted. They have a wide variety of food to select from. Service is always friendly and fast. The only downfall is you have to go into another building for the bathrooms. (I give this a B)
Stella's Fish Cafe - This place was pretty disappointing. I was not a fan of their food. I don't mind a place that smells lie fish, but when it smells like old spoiled fish thats another thing. This is a pretty popular drinking hang out. Food could have been better. There are other fish places to eat at. Pay the bigger bucks for flavor. (I give this place a C)
St Paul Bagelry - Its a nice change up place for bagels, if your used to going to the bigger franchises around here. The pizza bagel is my favorite, and the fresh salmon bagel is my other favorite. Its a small shop, and its never busy. (I give this place a C+)
Taco Morelos - Located off Nicollet and 66th. This place was a nice little authentic mexican restaurant. I thought the food was pretty good. Waitress spoke spanish. So atleast you know its for sure authentic. (I give this C)
Tanners - If anyone is ever in the Andover area, this is a nice place to eat. Its kind of like Majors, but maybe a bit nicer. Food is pretty good. Portions are decent sizes. I think this place lost a lot of prestige over the years. A nice bar area for people waiting, but prices are slightly higher then what it should be. (I give this a C)

The Porterhouse steak and seafood - I had my first fine dining experience by myself here. Well I was visiting Kristin, so I ate there. There biggest steak was well worth there $30 price. One of the better garlic mash potatoes I've ever had. There service was always excellent and very polite. This place is a good place to take someone on a date. Its just too expensive though. (I give this a B)
The Stadium Sports Bar - This place is located in White bear lake. It has 2 baseball fields and a beach volleyball court. The beers are always a decent price here. You will see a lot of former WBL alumni's. Some cute girls do show up here. Must be the water or something. Fun place to hang around though. (I give this a C-)
